Second prosject was the French kit from ULTRALAIR: Weedhopper JC 24D that Arne "Abo" B. first bought from France in -85 but didn't complete.

DATA:

empty weight: 118 kp + cockpitshield 10kp + chute Second Chantz (8kp), safe load: 100 kp, max wingload:15,2 kp/m2

Span-length-high: 8,4m - 5,2m - 1,8m  Wingarea:15,7m2, wingchamber 30deg. wheelspan 1,32m., Wingtwist= 4 deg. Stress test: +6g and -4g.

Engine: Rotax 377 free air - 35hp at 6750 rpm - 358cm3. Gear 2.58:1- prop.dia. 1,6m for 2blade- gives prop.max 2616 rpm and tipspeed of 780 km/h. Tankvolum 18litre.

Top speed: 105 km/h, cruise 65-90 km/h. tendency to dig down/nose down at speed over 75km/h - which makes it necesary to use a lot of backstick then - may be because of the shape of windshield - but probably of the shape of the wingprofile and the inbuildt flaps in profile. Max climb 4-5m/sec. max.distance to fly ca 130km.
